I am an independent journalist, originally from Romania, but currently based in Belgium. Over the past ten years, I have mostly done written journalism, publishing more than 600 articles on topics ranging from political and environmental affairs in Eastern Europe to conflicts and human rights abuses in African countries. I have previously reported from the United States, Germany, Hungary, Togo and Cameroon.

Across Europe, AI solutions are researched and piloted for diagnosing and treating gynecological diseases. While they are still only slowly adopted in healthcare, they are increasingly pushed to become more common. Yet, most current AI models are based on small, unrepresentative datasets, lack consideration of hormonal factors, and face funding gaps.
